Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) Program

The Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is a state-administered program that allows eligible families to use a portion of their child’s state education funding for approved educational services. Managed by the Arizona Department of Education, the ESA provides families with 90% of the state aid that would have otherwise been allocated to a public school, typically between $6,000 and $7,000 per year.
Can Eclipse Students Apply?
Yes! Eclipse Schools qualifies as a non-public online learning program, and many families already use ESA funds to support their student’s education.
How to Apply
Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are currently open and processed within 30 days after submission. You can apply through the Arizona Department of Education Portal.

ESA funds are distributed quarterly, based on when the contract is signed. Once approved, it takes about three weeks to set up and fund a new ESA account.

How Can ESA Funds Be Used?
ESA funds can be used for tuition, educational services, and other approved expenses. A full list of eligible expenses is available in the Arizona Department of Education Parent Handbook. Unused funds roll over each year with successful renewal.
West Virginia Hope Scholarship Program & Eclipse
The Hope Scholarship Program is an education savings account (ESA) that allows families to use state education funds to create a personalized learning experience. The scholarship amount varies each year based on state funding levels. For the 2024-2025 school year, eligible students will receive $4,921.39.
Can Eclipse Students Apply?
Yes! Eclipse students may qualify for the Hope Scholarship since Eclipse is considered a nonpublic online learning program. Many families already use this funding to support their child’s education with Eclipse.
However, students must meet all West Virginia state eligibility requirements, including prior enrollment in a West Virginia public school for at least one full instructional term or 45 consecutive days before applying.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify, a student must be a West Virginia resident and meet one of the following:
Be eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the year they are applying.
Be enrolled full-time in a West Virginia public school for the entire prior academic year.
Be enrolled full-time in a West Virginia public school for at least 45 consecutive days at the time of application and remain enrolled until a decision is made.
Are Current Eclipse Students Eligible to Apply?
If a student is currently enrolled in a private school or was enrolled in a private school the previous academic year, they are not eligible to apply as a new applicant. However, the Hope Scholarship Program will expand to include private school students for the 2026-2027 school year.

Application Deadlines & Funding Amounts
The application window for new students opens on March 1, 2025. The amount of funding a student receives depends on when their application is submitted:
March 1 – June 15, 2025 → 100% of the scholarship
June 16 – September 15, 2025 → 75% of the scholarship
September 16 – November 30, 2025 → 50% of the scholarship
December 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026 → 25% of the scholarship
After February 28, 2026 → No funding for 2025-2026, but eligible for 2026-2027

New Hampshire Education Freedom Account (EFA) & Eclipse
The Education Freedom Account (EFA) Program provides education savings accounts (ESAs) to students in low- and middle-income households in New Hampshire. These funds, which include $3,400 in base state aid plus any additional qualifying aid, can be used for private school tuition, tutoring, textbooks, curriculum, educational therapies, and other approved expenses.
Can Eclipse Students Apply?
Yes! Eclipse students may be eligible for EFA funding since it covers private school tuition and other educational costs. However, students must meet the program’s income requirements and other eligibility criteria.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for an EFA, a student must:
Be a New Hampshire resident.
Be between 5 and 20 years old and entering K-12th grade.
Have a family income at or below 350% of the federal poverty level.
Complete the application process and agree to academic accountability requirements.
How to Apply
Families can apply online through the CSF New Hampshire Family Access Portal. Applications typically take about four weeks to process, but missing documents can delay approval. Parents can track application status through the portal, and eligibility is determined only after full review.
Application Deadlines & Funding Distribution
EFA applications are accepted year-round, but applications completed after July 15 will receive partial, prorated grants.
The State of New Hampshire disburses EFA funds four times per year, in mid-September, mid-November, mid-January, and mid-April. To receive funding in a given quarter, the application must be completed at least 45 days before the scheduled disbursement.
What Can EFA Funds Be Used For?
EFA funds are awarded per student and must be used for approved educational expenses under RSA 194-F II. These include:
Private school tuition
Tutoring & academic support
Curriculum & textbooks
Educational therapies
Other approved costs

Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship & Eclipse
The Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship Program is an education savings account (ESA) that provides up to $8,000 per year to K-12 students in Utah. These funds can be used for private school tuition, educational services, and other approved expenses.
Can Eclipse Students Apply?
Yes! Eclipse students are eligible for UFA funding as long as they meet the residency and enrollment requirements. The program is open to all Utah K-12 students, including those in home-based educational programs.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify, a student must:
Be a Utah resident.
Be in grades K-12 for the year they are applying.
Not be enrolled in a public school (district or charter) or the SOEP during the scholarship year.
Not receive the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship in the same year.
Submit an education portfolio detailing learning progress to maintain eligibility.
How to Apply
Families can apply online through the Utah Fits All Program website. One application can be used for all eligible children in the household.

The application window for the 2025-2026 school year has not yet been announced. For 2024, applications were open from February 28 – April 22.
What Can UFA Funds Be Used For?
UFA funds must be used for educational expenses from approved providers. These include:
